Emotions, Disease and the Colon
Importance of Five Elements being in
The Emotional Colon or The Most
One day the body got together and decided to
have a board meeting. Here’s what went on behind closed doors. There was intense discussion to determine:
WHO WAS THE MOST
IMPORTANT PART OF THE BODY.
The BRAIN was the first to speak. “Without me, nothing would be accomplished.”
Then the HEART spoke up. “Without me,
pumping blood to your brain you could not function.”
The ARMS laughed. “You’re both
wrong, without me to put food in the mouth, nothing would work.”
The STOMACH said, “Without me, your
food would not digest.”
The LUNGS bellowed back, “Without me,
you couldn’t breathe.”
The EYES blinked, “Without me you
could not see.”
The KIDNEYS snorted, “Without me, you
could not detoxify and eliminate.”
The COLON meekly spoke up. “I am
important. You need me to eliminate all of the garbage from your systems.”
Everyone laughed and made fun of him. “How
can you be as important as we are. You’re just a smelly old sewer.”
The poor colon...his feelings were hurt!
He turned away, and thought, I’ll show them. HE SHUT DOWN!! Then
he sat back and watched what would happen.
The BRAIN was stupefied.
The HEART’S beat was weak.
The ARMS were weak and couldn’t move.
The LUNGS...the breathing was shallow.
The EYES became cloudy.
The KIDNEYS quit.
Then the COLON looked around and decided
it was time to call another meeting. It wasn’t too lively this time, but
everyone was in total agreement. The
COLON WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT ORGAN.
Cute story or just how important is the
Colon? You Decide.
Emotions, Disease and The Colon
I'm a firm believer that emotional issues can
manifest into very real physical problems. An excellent book on this subject is "You
Can Heal Your Life" by Louise L. Hay. In her book she discusses the
correlation between diseases you may have had or are having now and the probable
emotional cause. She lists many different diseases and the emotion which
may have caused the physical. She also suggest a new thought pattern to
begin the healing process.
The chart below comes from "You
Can Heal Your Life" and lists but a few of the problems associated with
||NEW THOUGHT PATTERN
||Fear of letting go. Holding onto the
||I easily release that which I no
longer need. The past is over, and I am free.
||Insecurity. Represents the ease of
letting go of that which is over.
||I am part of the perfect rhythm and
flow of life. All is in Divine right order.
||Refusing to release old ideas. Stuck in
the past. Sometimes stinginess.
||As I release the past, the new and
fresh vital enter. I allow life to flow through me.
||Layered deposits of old, confused
thoughts clogging the channel of elimination. wallowing in the
gummed mire of the past.
||I release and dissolve the past. I
am a clear thinker. I live in the now in peace and joy.
|Do you notice a common
thread between all of the physical problems listed above? Do
you or do you know someone that holds onto the past? With our stress
filled lives is it any wonder that over 70 million Americans suffer
from bowel problems?
Importance of Five Elements
To the Chinese, the interaction of the Five
Elements brings harmony. Each element is ever present and basic to
life. We are the seasons. We are the Elements. Fire (summer), Earth
(late summer), Metal (autumn), Water (winter) and Wood
The organs associated with Metal are the Lungs and
Large Intestine. A person whose energy is out of balance in Metal
needs help in rebalancing the mind/body connection which keeps all
the processes communicating. A breakdown in communication can
cause......you guessed it rebellion, dissension and the
disintegration of structure within the entire body.
Every function in the body is the most important,
thus it can be said that the Colon's function is the most important function.
If waste begins to back up, the rest of the system has to take on
the extra load even though it is not equipped to do so.
The Emotion corresponding to
Metal is Grief.
Additional emotions tied to the Metal element when it comes to the
Large Intestine are: Self worth, guilt, unmerciful, obsession,
holding on, persecution, withdrawal, disillusioned, violated, fear
of rejection and loneliness.
The Fluid secretion associated with
Metal is Mucous.
The Sound corresponding to Metal is
The Smell associated with
Metal is Rotten.
The Power granted by Metal is the Ability to
cough is the rejection of unwanted things. Expelling something
unwanted is associated with Metal due to the association of the
elimination of waste, both physically
