Kangen Ionized Alkaline Water There is nothing different about Kangen Alkaline water, "electrolyzed water", "ionized water", "micro-clustered water", or even "reduced" water. But, there is a difference between the machines that produce ionized alkaline water! What is Kangen Water? My Introduction to Kangen Water? I first learned about Kangen water on April 27, 2007. A woman called and explained that she was contacting as many colon hydro-therapist as possible about the benefits of Kangen water produced by the Enagic SD 501 water ionizer. She asked me to review her website and to pay particular attention to the colon cleansing benefits of this water. When I visited the website, I viewed the colonoscopy video and was in awe at how effective drinking this water is for cleansing the colon and keeping it clean. In fact, I thought to myself....
I almost ordered an Enagic SD 501 after viewing the colonoscopy video but instead decided to compare water ionizers. After almost a week of checking out different water ionizers I decided to purchase a KYK Harmony water Ionizer for my own use as well as become a dealer for Water For Life USA, the USA distributor of the KYK Harmony. What is Kangen Water?
Kangen is a Japanese word that means "return to the origin". Thank goodness for the internet. After surfing the internet, I found out there is nothing different about Kangen water, "electrolyzed water", "ionized water", "micro-clustered water" or even "reduced" water. All of these marketing terms describe the same thing.......Ionized Water! However, there can be a huge difference in the quality of the machine that produces the type of water described in the various marketing terms above. It tastes totally different. It seems to enter the body lightly. It presents no resistance. You don't 'bloat' like you may do with tap water or even filtered water. What Is A Water Ionizer Water Ionizers, emulate the same conversion of glacial H20 into pure alkaline, ionized, oxygenated drinking water, by 'splitting' H20 (Two Hydrogen atoms, one oxygen atom) into two separate streams of water; 1. OH- One atom of Oxygen and one atom of hydrogen negatively charged -
the Hydroxyl ion. This is the prized Alkaline water that we drink and love. Why Is Ionized Water Better? Ionized water is a powerful antioxidant. Imagine having the ability to take normal tap water and turn it into an antioxidant with a NEGATIVE ORP (or charge), which retards the aging process. Put simply, a high or rising ORP causes oxidation of our cells and therefore aging. The negative ORP of ionized water literally retards the aging process by counteracting this rising ORP. Ionized water essentially renews us at a cellular level. For instance, real fresh squeezed orange juice has a negative ORP of -250. Although we can only drink a few glasses of fresh orange juice in a day, we can drink as much ionized water as we wish to a day. Ionized water provides the body with lots of oxygen and lots of energy. The other antioxidant quality of ionized water is hydroxyl ions. These are oxygen molecules with an extra electron attached to them as are all antioxidants such as vitamins A, C and E. Hydroxyl ions scavenge for free radicals, which are unstable oxygen molecules that cause damage to us. Once the hydroxyl antioxidant and free radical have canceled each other, the result is that the body is provided with lots of oxygen and therefore lots of energy. Oxygen is one of the most exhausted nutrients in our body because of our diet and the Earth's oxygen-depleted environment today. Oxygen destroys cancer cells as well as bacteria and viruses invading the body. It carries away acid waste from body tissue. It is vital to human health, perhaps our most important nutrient. A glass of strong ionized water first thing in the morning naturally helps you to wake up. Ionized water is up to six times more hydrating than conventional water. Water is one of the most important elements in the body, which is over 80% water. Ionized Water is fundamentally different from conventional water. This is because the size and shape of the water molecule cluster has reduced in size and change in shape to hexagonal, which allows the water cluster to pass through our tissue more easily. One of the primary causes of disease is chronic cellular dehydration, a condition, which leaves the body's cells in a perpetual state of weakness and defense. our diet comprised of cooked foods, pasteurized or otherwise processed foods.

For example, accumulated acid waste in the joints encourages inflammation and
arthritis. Because it is very alkaline, ionized water dissolves accumulated acid

At pH 7, water contains equal concentrations of H+ and OH- ions.
Substances with a pH less than 7 are acidic because they contain a higher
concentration of H+ ions. Higher concentration of OH- than H+. The pH scale is a
logarithmic scale, so a change of one pH unit implies a tenfold shift in the

Living things, including humans, are extremely sensitive to pH and function
best (with certain exceptions, such as different portions of the digestive
tract) when solutions are nearly neutral.
I'd heard about ionized water prior to watching the colonoscopy video, but I didn't know it was so incredibly effective at cleansing the colon, until I watched the video. But why is it so effective? Ionized Water is Detoxifying. This is because of the reduced size and shape of the water molecule clusters. Once reduced, these water clusters pass through the body's tissue much easier and push out toxins and acid waste quite effectively. Alkaline Water Vs. Colon Hydrotherapy If you viewed the colonoscopy video, you saw how well Ionized Alkaline Water can clean the colon. This was accomplished by drinking 3 quarts of Ionized Alkaline Water over a 3 month period of time or longer. Since I've been a colon hydro-therapist many people have asked me if colon cleansing supplements work as good as colon hydrotherapy. My response is always "nothing cleans the colon like water". After viewing the video I now believe "nothing cleans the colon like Ionized water". After viewing the colonoscopy video I am convinced that drinking Ionized Alkaline water can be just as effective as colon hydrotherapy. Thus, it all boils down to a persons preference as to whether or not they want to invest in their health with colonics or by purchasing a water ionizer. Another advantage I see with drinking ionized water is the fact that
ionized water adds lots of oxygen into the body. This can not be done with
colon hydrotherapy.
The chart below is based on Colon Hydrotherapy rates at Accelerated Wellness. Many other therapist charge much more than this. The chart does not take into consideration rate increases or the price of the filter raising over the next 30 years. Please also remember that one colon hydrotherapy session is not going to get your colon completely clean. Thus, the chart below is also based on a person completing either a series of 8 or 12 colonic sessions followed with the suggested maintenance of 4 sessions yearly.

One Final Thought I still believe colon hydrotherapy is a wonderful tool for cleansing the colon, especially for those that need immediate help. However, for many people colon hydrotherapy is contraindicated due to medical reasons. Many people although they really need to do colonics are repulsed by the idea and won't even consider it. Others, for whatever reason, think they only have to do one session and their colon is completely clean. When these people find out that more than one session is needed and that maintenance sessions are recommended they become discouraged and abandon the idea.
